This trigger point massage stick is the best money I’ve ever spent. It easily reaches behind my shoulder blades and digs into those hard-to-reach knots. When I go camping or have to sleep in hotels, this is a life saver for my neck and back. I used to get monthly massages, but since using the Body Buddy regularly, I don’t have to go as often. This has saved me quite a bit of money! Plus, it’s Made in the USA, so this purchase is a no-brainer.

I don’t know about you, but I have some serious chronic neck pain. From 10 years working as a dental hygienist, to many more years sitting at a computer, my neck pain has been excruciating at times. This little device has helped me relieve tension and decrease pain in my neck and upper shoulders. I just lay on my yoga mat, put in some earbuds, and play a 15-20 minute meditation or breathwork exercise. My neck immediately feels relief as the tension melts away!

The Insight Timer app is available on your phone, tablet, or computer. It has over 100,000 free meditations and mindfulness exercises. This is my go-to app for discovering new practices and trying new types of mindfulness. You can search by time length, so if you’re looking for a 5 minute or 30 minute exercise, it’s easy! There are also paid classes and courses available if you want to dive even deeper.

I love listening to guided meditation and breathwork exercises as a way to practice mindfulness, manage stress, and reduce pain. Unfortunately, I’m also easily distracted. That’s why these Tozo wireless earbuds are the BEST. They are very affordable, hold a charge for hours, connect via bluetooth, and have a built-in microphone. It’s the perfect way to tune out the noise and tune into yourself, without breaking the bank!

Red Light Therapy for Pain and Healing

Red Light Therapy (RLT) is the latest trend in health & wellness. If you’re like me, you want to know the science behind these trends to make sure it isn’t another gimmick or someone selling snake oil. Luckily, the research backs up these amazing claims! Red Light Therapy stimulates mitochondria in your cells, allowing them to create more ATP (energy), which leads to your cells functioning more efficiently as well as a boost in mood. RLT has been proven to reduce pain, decrease inflammation, stimulate collagen, and increase sense of well-being. Don’t believe me? Here is an article on how it works.

Personally, I use my red light from Hooga every day. I stand 18” away to treat skin conditions, and 6” away for deeper tissue healing and pain reduction. I use a full body panel, but there are smaller options that are less expensive and can treat one area at a time.

Want the benefits of Red Light Therapy, but travel sized? Look no further than the RLT Flashlight! I use this when I’m traveling and camping to spot treat painful areas. I’ve tended to sprained ankles, sore wrists, and TMJ pain while on the go. It also comes with a cold sore attachment to speed up the healing process and make blisters less noticeable.

If you’ve watched any of my reels or videos, then you may have noticed my cork yoga mat. After years of using a cheap mat, I was going to splurge on an expensive one because I got tired of slipping and sliding every time I went into down dog. Fortunately, I found this affordable cork yoga mat and loved it. 5 years later, she is still holding up and I no longer slip when breaking a sweat!
